We Know What Works
Hard Work.
Perseverance.
Technique.
Belief in Self.
Yes, And.
A Sense of Humor.
These are just a few of the skills that both successful actors and successful business people have in common. We believe in the extraordinary connection between the work we do off-stage and on-stage and how the principles we practice and apply in behind-the-scenes directly impacts our successes on-stage. We have seen the same hold true in business: the strength of a team, quality of their communications and willingness to be open to new ideas directly impacts the overall success of the company.
In improvisational comedy, a show is built without a script using the Rule of Agreement, which is also called "Yes, And." Simply put, it means that you agree to accept any idea that has been suggested and are not afraid to contribute. As Tina Fey explains, "Start with a yes and see where that takes you." While being agreeable in a business-setting is not always the easiest choice, it is always an excellent place to start. If one learns to give their co-workers and business colleagues a chance to voice their opinions in an open and supportive environment, before automatically editing or dismissing their ideas, it will foster trust and contribute to conversation that could lead to even better ideas.
Utilizing the "Yes, And" principle, as well as other fundamental techniques of theatrical acting, we have designed several Workshops to help participants relax, reduce fear, increase their listening skills, gain confidence, solve problems creatively and work towards a common goal all while having fun. We don't think a corporate training should be dull and it is our goal that each Workshop be an exciting and interactive learning experience with positive long-term results.
Our Workshops cover:
-Team Building
-Competence, Confidence and Improved Public Speaking
-Presentational Skills
-Ice Breakers
-Yes, And-ing To Better Business Relationships
-Thinking Creatively on Your Feet
-Creating a Positive Work Environment
Business is serious and so is our commitment to you, but it doesn't mean we can't have a great time together!
